3 October, 16:30-18:00, 3D creativity laboratorium at John Atanasoff innovation forum.
The workshop is focused on teachers and academics, who are always searching for new and innovative ways of introducing technology to children and of stimulating their creativity. You will understand how to include the use of a 3D printer in the study programme and will learn about interesting school projects, realised with the help of Ultimaker.
The workshop will be held in English. Lecturer: Roberto Vdovic, Fablab.hr
3 October, 18:15-19:45, 3D creativity laboratorium at John Atanasoff’s innovation forum.
This workshop targets artistic children. Its aim is to stimulate their creativity and provides them with ideas how to recycle objects from our everyday life and how to creative new and interesting pieces of art with application, different than their original use. With a pinch of 3D printing, a spoonful of electronics and a mouthful of inspiration, we will turn toothbrushes into tiny robots til the end of the workshop.
The workshop will be held in English. Lecturer: Roberto Vdovic, Fablab.hr
4 october, 9:30 – 16:30, 3D creativity laboratorium at John Atanasoff’s innovation forum.
In the era of digital technologies, the use of computer aided systems advances quickly and boldly in dental medicine. They are here to assist our everyday successful practices. It is thanks to such systems that we can now work more precisely, for more predictable results, and reduce the post-surgical period.
Lecturer: Doctor Nedelcho Sitnov, CityDent
4 october, 17:00 – 20:00, 3D creativity laboratorium at John Atanasoff’s innovation forum.
Three inspirational hours for teaching professionals to design, prepare to 3D print, how to actually 3D print their jewels and finish the pieces with post-processing techniques. A new material, which opens new horizons to designers, the castable wax resin by Formlabs, will be introduced.
Lecturer:Anri Haxhi, B2N
5 october, 14:00 – 15:30, 3D creativity laboratorium at John Atanasoff’s innovation forum.
3D scanning is gaining more and more importance in areas such as manufacturing, the automobile industry and aviation. Regardless of its use (reverse engineering, comparison of ready end products and their digital projects or 3D documentation), it is a useful tool for each specialist. This workshop aims to give you the means how to scan 3D objects and to turn the scanned data into editable CAD files. Next step of the process is design optimization and 3D printing of the end object.
The workshop will be held in English. Lectors: Samuil Topalov, B2N, Felix Radish, Altaire solidThinking
6 october, 10:30 – 12:00, laboratorium, parter, room 125, for children 10=14 years old.
In this workshop, the children will get to know the logic behind the work of functional mechanisms, and how to create functional parts by themselves with the help of a 3D printer, in order to build a small robot. Taking part in this workshop will inspire them to experiment and will boost their confidence to dare, create and invent. The children will work in small teams of 2-3 and will decide together as a team which model they will create together.
Lecturers: Assoc. Prof. Ivan Chavdarov, BAS and Ivelin Stoyanov
6 October, 12:30 – 14:30, laboratorium, parter, room 125, children 6-9 years old and 9-12 years old.
In this workshop, we will have an open creative discussion with the children how they envision our city in the future. We will watch extracts from various sci-fi movies and will get acquainted with some new technological approaches, which will change our way of living in the future. The young architects will have to sketch their projects, after which they will turn their fantasies into three-dimensional models, using residue materials from 3D printing. At the end we will build together the city of the future and will create stories, related to it.
Lecturers: Architecture workshop for children
